Step 1: Get Accurate Readings First
Before beginning any nutritional support, make sure your blood pressure is being measured accurately at home:

​✅ Home Testing Instructions:
  • Take three readings, spaced 30 seconds apart.
  • If all three readings are above 140/90, then you may need a blood pressure prescription from a licensed ND or MD to temporarily stabilize your pressure while addressing the root causes with a nutrition-based program.
  • If only one or two readings are elevated, you are considered borderline hypertensive and can typically begin with a nutritional support program.

Pro Tips for Accuracy:
  • Measure your pressure around noon, when your body’s circadian rhythm is most balanced.
  • Sit quietly for 3–5 minutes before measuring.
  • Keep feet flat on the floor, back supported, and arm at heart level.
  • Avoid caffeine, physical activity, or emotional stress for 30 minutes beforehand.
